December
So this is her trying out her bumbo seat... lol I think the face says it all! While she did really well with it, I think in her little mind she is saying "let me stay a baby for a little while longer" and with that being said I havn't attempted to put her back in it!!!!
I guess if you have to get a shot then you must have a pretty shiny band-aid to go with it! Lilly had to have her Hep B shot on Dec 2nd and let me tell you, this girl knows how to hold a note... lol! She held her breath for a good minute maybe longer. I guess whith the previous shot and PKU she was too young to know pain? who knows but she was a good sport and was good enough to pose with her lovely proof!
Here is another one of the anticipate friends! Richard and Tiana came over to meet Lilly when she was 5 weeks! Richard was born on July 9th and is sooo alert! He was such a cutie but Lilly just slept the whole time they were visiting, something that she is very good at!
Yes she was a very cute little bear and fit in very well with her BIG bear that Auntie Jen gave her at the hospital but I promise I dont normally dress my child in the super hot snow suite everyday here in Texas. This particlar day was the Coldest day yet of the season and our house thermostate was reading 62 degrees..... It was freezing and I even had mittens on Lilly but they didn't match the outfit so I couldn't take a picture with them on :) Luckly my dad and Brian had it all fixed that evening and we had a very toastly space heater that made us extra warm!

When it rains it pours!
Oh yea and just so you can see how bad it really was!!!!!!
The Joy of my Life is Born!
Monday Nov. 2: So Dr. Williams had me scheduled to come in early for my weekly check up. If I still had NO progress then she was going to do something about it! Well 8 am Chris and I are there hoping for progress as we are 2 days shy of being 40 weeks, but our luck aparently has run short! There was nothing, no dialation and I wasn't even thined out any really she said. She she insterted what she called was a balloon.... seriously what the heck! That was probably the worst part of my whole labor process! Its something similar to a foley, there is a balloon that is inserted above the cervics and one below and the pressure of the 2 and gravity working its magic is supposed to start dialation! So I went home with that, and in the mean time Im still suppossed to be on bed rest but with all the pain for this dang balloon I was doing good to waddle! The pain slowly started to dwindle around 1 and I could actually tolarate the thing!
Tuesday Nov. 3: Literally the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! So we were scheduled to be induced at 7am but needless to say the "balloon" had a different plan. At 11pm I went to the bathroom because my bladder was full to the max but nothing would come out... I thought it was odd but forgot about it and went back to bed, I got up about 3o minutes later and tried agian and the balloon just popped out! Surprisingly enough it wan't even painful. So thinking that I would just go back to sleep until 5 when I had planned to get up and get everything ready to go to the hospital, I layed down and within a few minutes I started feeling contracitons. They were about exactly 7 minutes apart, So I woke up Chris and told him I thought we should go ahead and go in. His reaction was "but your water hasn't broke yet" lol! So I called my mom and got in the shower! We were at the hospital by 1:30. By the time I got up to the labor and delivery floor it was 2:18 and I was dialated to a 5 and had contrations every 4 minutes, things looked very promising at this point and I was actually thankful for the painful "balloon". So the pain was definatly getting more intinse so at 3:3o I got the epidural, praise the lord, why anyone wouldn't want that is beyond me! at 6:15 the nurse checked me again and I was maybe a 6.... this was the first sign that Lilly wan't going to make things easy. At 8 Dr. Williams came in a broke my water, I thought for sure that would get her moving, RIGHT. So another check at 10:45 and I was a 7 and Lilly was finally a little lower. So at 12:45 the epidular started to ware off I could feel the pressure, which I guess your supposed to fell anyway, but I would also fell the contractions and the pain was starting to set in! They gave me a push of more meds through my epi and I already needed another at 2 but praise the Lord at 3:25 I could fell nothing but Lilly pushing down HARD, at that moment I new it was time and boy was that my breaking point. I remember thinking that she could just stay in me forever because I really didnt think I could push her out, lol. So it was time! When it came time for them to call Dr. W she came in and I dont remember much AT ALL... everything happened so fast and this team of nurses all came in and everyone was moving SO fast. I remember my mom asking what she could do to help and then a few minutes later on my last push there was a nurse on top of me pushing down hard on my stomach! But within a few minutes she was out and what I thought was the worst thing I had ever endured was now just a fadded memory! So altogether I was in labor 15 hours and 3 minutes and had pushed for an hour and a half! The complications were because our little princess had her shoulders not wanting out :) what are the odds... she that is why I had a nurse literlly on top of me! and they worried because her right arm wasn't functioning properly. But minutes later she was perfect and healthy and laying right on mommy! She weighed 8lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 in long, with a head full of hair! So after she was born the Dr. still had a job to do on me, even though she cut me I still tore, so another hour later everything was finished and other than some pain I was back to normal and Chris and I were a happy family!
