Things I want to remember FOREVER!
-When we drive down Walnut Creek across the rail road tracks she almost always knows where we are at, The Donut shop. "momma donuts, yes Lilly that is donuts who takes you there, daddy" please note that I never take her to get donuts.
-When driving by downtown Fort Worth on I-30 she gets all excited to see the "Princesses Castle", "big castle" Im not sure exactly which castle she is refering to but Im pretty its the old abandon post office.
-She is such a people person, (see she is NOT Jennifers child) on most occasions she wants to hug everone and has to know everyones name. I can tell when she is not in her comfort zone.
-She is sleeping in a twin size bed now, her Big girl Bed as she calls it. So when she wakes up her normal rutine is to bring all of her bedding, which includes her pillow, princess pillow, Lillian pillow, night night, one or two stuffed animals and possibly another blanket with her to our bed so she can watch cartoons. It use to be a nice cuddle time while we tried to wake up but here lately its turned into a wrestling match and pretty much makes you jump out of that bed!
-She loves loves loves taking pictures, finally something that she gets from her momma! So we are selling her iPod touch and gave her one of our old iPhones that has a camera on it. Let me just say that she is pretty darn good. While at the Ranger game the other night she stole Natalies phone and took a few group pictures of all us adults (note a few of us may or may not have been consuming an adult beverage) Im sure the near by fans were amused at our parenting skills! Then best is when she wants to take pictures of us while we are driving.
-Taco Casa, this is a little old but still a good one. Oh how this girl LOVES her some Taco Casa. It was really cute when she was learning how to say it "oco asa, nooooo Taco-Casa". When driving by she gets all excited to see it, we have been on a diet from Taco Casa so lately we have had to tell her that its closed. So what does she do know when we drive by "Taco Casa (in her excited voice), no Taco Casa closed" We have taught her so well.
-She is terrified of Snakes, and anything that might look like a snake (ex: stick or wire). Although she did pet a snake at the Zoo yesterday, she was very proud.
-Butter put a frog in his mouth the other day, wrong choice buddy. So while Lilly and I are watching through the back door while butter acts a fool in the grass and foams at the mouth Lilly is determined that he needs to go to the Dr. ASAP. She has such a motherly soul. Maybe she will be a Dr one day, she loves watching Doc McStuffins on Disney Jr.
-Chris wins daddy of the year award for teaching her Wistle Baby by Flowrider. Yea yea yea, I just cant take my 2 and half year old singing about THAT... so now as soon as we hear the opening of the song I hurry and change channel and she tells me "Bad song, wistle baby bad song mommy, daddy sings it" BUSTED Daddy! lol
Yes Im sure this list could go on and on but thats good for now.

The animal sounds she knows well are doggie, cat, horse, cow, gorilla, sheep and alligator. She has recently started shaking her hear yes and no appropriately. She can recognize her eyes, noes, mouth, ears, hair, tounge, teeth, toes and belly button. My mom has recently taught her to bat her eyes (im telling you she is drama!). December
So this is her trying out her bumbo seat... lol I think the face says it all! While she did really well with it, I think in her little mind she is saying "let me stay a baby for a little while longer" and with that being said I havn't attempted to put her back in it!!!!
I guess if you have to get a shot then you must have a pretty shiny band-aid to go with it! Lilly had to have her Hep B shot on Dec 2nd and let me tell you, this girl knows how to hold a note... lol! She held her breath for a good minute maybe longer. I guess whith the previous shot and PKU she was too young to know pain? who knows but she was a good sport and was good enough to pose with her lovely proof!
Here is another one of the anticipate friends! Richard and Tiana came over to meet Lilly when she was 5 weeks! Richard was born on July 9th and is sooo alert! He was such a cutie but Lilly just slept the whole time they were visiting, something that she is very good at!
Yes she was a very cute little bear and fit in very well with her BIG bear that Auntie Jen gave her at the hospital but I promise I dont normally dress my child in the super hot snow suite everyday here in Texas. This particlar day was the Coldest day yet of the season and our house thermostate was reading 62 degrees..... It was freezing and I even had mittens on Lilly but they didn't match the outfit so I couldn't take a picture with them on :) Luckly my dad and Brian had it all fixed that evening and we had a very toastly space heater that made us extra warm!

When it rains it pours!
Oh yea and just so you can see how bad it really was!!!!!!
The Joy of my Life is Born!
Monday Nov. 2: So Dr. Williams had me scheduled to come in early for my weekly check up. If I still had NO progress then she was going to do something about it! Well 8 am Chris and I are there hoping for progress as we are 2 days shy of being 40 weeks, but our luck aparently has run short! There was nothing, no dialation and I wasn't even thined out any really she said. She she insterted what she called was a balloon.... seriously what the heck! That was probably the worst part of my whole labor process! Its something similar to a foley, there is a balloon that is inserted above the cervics and one below and the pressure of the 2 and gravity working its magic is supposed to start dialation! So I went home with that, and in the mean time Im still suppossed to be on bed rest but with all the pain for this dang balloon I was doing good to waddle! The pain slowly started to dwindle around 1 and I could actually tolarate the thing!
Tuesday Nov. 3: Literally the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! So we were scheduled to be induced at 7am but needless to say the "balloon" had a different plan. At 11pm I went to the bathroom because my bladder was full to the max but nothing would come out... I thought it was odd but forgot about it and went back to bed, I got up about 3o minutes later and tried agian and the balloon just popped out! Surprisingly enough it wan't even painful. So thinking that I would just go back to sleep until 5 when I had planned to get up and get everything ready to go to the hospital, I layed down and within a few minutes I started feeling contracitons. They were about exactly 7 minutes apart, So I woke up Chris and told him I thought we should go ahead and go in. His reaction was "but your water hasn't broke yet" lol! So I called my mom and got in the shower! We were at the hospital by 1:30. By the time I got up to the labor and delivery floor it was 2:18 and I was dialated to a 5 and had contrations every 4 minutes, things looked very promising at this point and I was actually thankful for the painful "balloon". So the pain was definatly getting more intinse so at 3:3o I got the epidural, praise the lord, why anyone wouldn't want that is beyond me! at 6:15 the nurse checked me again and I was maybe a 6.... this was the first sign that Lilly wan't going to make things easy. At 8 Dr. Williams came in a broke my water, I thought for sure that would get her moving, RIGHT. So another check at 10:45 and I was a 7 and Lilly was finally a little lower. So at 12:45 the epidular started to ware off I could feel the pressure, which I guess your supposed to fell anyway, but I would also fell the contractions and the pain was starting to set in! They gave me a push of more meds through my epi and I already needed another at 2 but praise the Lord at 3:25 I could fell nothing but Lilly pushing down HARD, at that moment I new it was time and boy was that my breaking point. I remember thinking that she could just stay in me forever because I really didnt think I could push her out, lol. So it was time! When it came time for them to call Dr. W she came in and I dont remember much AT ALL... everything happened so fast and this team of nurses all came in and everyone was moving SO fast. I remember my mom asking what she could do to help and then a few minutes later on my last push there was a nurse on top of me pushing down hard on my stomach! But within a few minutes she was out and what I thought was the worst thing I had ever endured was now just a fadded memory! So altogether I was in labor 15 hours and 3 minutes and had pushed for an hour and a half! The complications were because our little princess had her shoulders not wanting out :) what are the odds... she that is why I had a nurse literlly on top of me! and they worried because her right arm wasn't functioning properly. But minutes later she was perfect and healthy and laying right on mommy! She weighed 8lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 in long, with a head full of hair! So after she was born the Dr. still had a job to do on me, even though she cut me I still tore, so another hour later everything was finished and other than some pain I was back to normal and Chris and I were a happy family!

Bedrest and all it's glory!
In Loving Memory
My grandad had been living in a facility with his 91 year old mother in Wichita Falls for a little shy of a month. Something that will probably add another year to my Nanny Rene's life! So my mom and dad brought Nanny back to stay through all the upcoming events. Starting that thursday night we went through tons of old photo albums and laughed and reminised through all the years of my Grandma and Grandad! I learned NOT to give your Great grandmother prune juice and chris learned all the in's and out's of Skip-bo (which we also learned of "new" rule this time from Nanny). Mom and I took her to Sears, her favorite store, and she was in her wheel chiar scooting all around the clearence racks! We shared old stories with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins, Daniel even had us in tears at one point! I know that Grandma and Grandad would have been happy to know that we were remembering all the good and happy times of their lives together and I'm so happy that they are reunited together with the Lord! The picture above is the entire Horton Family, all together as one!
