I guess I should post a picture of our wonderful Princess! I wanted to blog about some of the things that she is already doing that I know I will forget about in the next week or two :(
Music instantly calms her, and country music to be more specific! She is a pacey girl but I'm sure we wont out grow that anytime soon. We started eating 3oz bottles on Friday the 13 because other wise her crazy self would want to eat everything in sight, especially her hand. I love the way when I feed her she has this perfect gulp and cooo sound, seriously melts my heart. Then when you try and burp her it like she is soooo excited to be eating she makes this "uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh" noises! Changing table time is becoming one of her favorite times, she just layes there and looks around. Today I layed her in her crib for the first time and she LOVED it, maybe because it was something new, I'm not sure but she found one of her stuffed animals and when I came back in there she had it wraped around her head and her pacey was out!!!!! The baby book has a page for hand prints, so while we getting the foot prints for everything I thought what the heck? I really dont know whos brilliant idea it was for that because it is seriously IMPOSSIBLE to get a newborns hand print, so let me just say that I promise I didn't try to paint my daughters finger nails. If I had then I certainly wouldn't have chosen black!
Lilly is the light of my life and as I hold her on my chest and let her sleep I wonder how long she will want to do that. I cherish ever moment I get with her and I dont want to leave her side agian.

When it rains it pours!
So sunday night my parents came over to watch the cowboy came and eat some chili, and of coarse play with little Lilly! And after they left we finised the game in bed. I knew that it was going to be a long night because Chris was going back to work on Monday and I didn't want him to be up as much with Lilly so he could get some sleep! Well I decided to change that real fast! When I got up at 12 to feed Lilly my face had started to swell so I went to the bathroom and layed down for a few more minutes, When I got back up my whole face was swollen and I could barley open my eyes. I woke Chris up and showed him and took some benedry because I honestly thought that I has some kind of allergic reation to somthing. So I went ahead and fed Lilly. A few minutes later Chris called my mom and we were off to the ER. When we got there they did a EKG, x-ray, pee test and some blood work. With all of that they were able to find that I had a uti, pnemonia and some serious heart issues, not to mention that my blood pressure was 176/106. So they started me on some antibotics and told me that they were going to admit me... my emotions went crazy because there was no way that I wanted to be away from my daughter. When I got to my room they started me on Magnisum, the worst medicine I have ever had in my life... it was horrible and I had to be on it for 24 hours and they told me that I would have to use a bed pan.... what the heck! Luckly they inserted a foley! When Dr. Williams got there the first thing I asked her was when could I go home, she laughed, then I asked when I could get out of that stupid bed, then I asked When I could have some water, Luckly she let me have ice water. So was there all day monday, tuesday and Wednesday. So all of this was caused by Preeclampsia, not allergy! They said that my heart was in overload due to the blood that I had lost during labor and my high blood pressure. On of the Dr.'s said that I had signs of congestive heart failure. What the heck you never think that if you are healthy something like this could happen to you. When Dr. Williams came in Wednesday night to release me she looked at me and said you know you were really sick, really this whole issue has scared the living day lights out of me. But I am SOOO glad to be back home with my princess, because being away from her for part of the first week of her life was one of the hardest things I think I've done yet as a mom. So now that Im home, I'm on blood pressure pills and I'm still having issues with it. I just pray nothign gets too bad again!
Oh yea and just so you can see how bad it really was!!!!!!
The Joy of my Life is Born!
So I guess I need to hurry up and blog about the crazy past week and half before I forget about it, althought its still goning to take a lot to forget about :)
Monday Nov. 2: So Dr. Williams had me scheduled to come in early for my weekly check up. If I still had NO progress then she was going to do something about it! Well 8 am Chris and I are there hoping for progress as we are 2 days shy of being 40 weeks, but our luck aparently has run short! There was nothing, no dialation and I wasn't even thined out any really she said. She she insterted what she called was a balloon.... seriously what the heck! That was probably the worst part of my whole labor process! Its something similar to a foley, there is a balloon that is inserted above the cervics and one below and the pressure of the 2 and gravity working its magic is supposed to start dialation! So I went home with that, and in the mean time Im still suppossed to be on bed rest but with all the pain for this dang balloon I was doing good to waddle! The pain slowly started to dwindle around 1 and I could actually tolarate the thing!
Tuesday Nov. 3: Literally the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! So we were scheduled to be induced at 7am but needless to say the "balloon" had a different plan. At 11pm I went to the bathroom because my bladder was full to the max but nothing would come out... I thought it was odd but forgot about it and went back to bed, I got up about 3o minutes later and tried agian and the balloon just popped out! Surprisingly enough it wan't even painful. So thinking that I would just go back to sleep until 5 when I had planned to get up and get everything ready to go to the hospital, I layed down and within a few minutes I started feeling contracitons. They were about exactly 7 minutes apart, So I woke up Chris and told him I thought we should go ahead and go in. His reaction was "but your water hasn't broke yet" lol! So I called my mom and got in the shower! We were at the hospital by 1:30. By the time I got up to the labor and delivery floor it was 2:18 and I was dialated to a 5 and had contrations every 4 minutes, things looked very promising at this point and I was actually thankful for the painful "balloon". So the pain was definatly getting more intinse so at 3:3o I got the epidural, praise the lord, why anyone wouldn't want that is beyond me! at 6:15 the nurse checked me again and I was maybe a 6.... this was the first sign that Lilly wan't going to make things easy. At 8 Dr. Williams came in a broke my water, I thought for sure that would get her moving, RIGHT. So another check at 10:45 and I was a 7 and Lilly was finally a little lower. So at 12:45 the epidular started to ware off I could feel the pressure, which I guess your supposed to fell anyway, but I would also fell the contractions and the pain was starting to set in! They gave me a push of more meds through my epi and I already needed another at 2 but praise the Lord at 3:25 I could fell nothing but Lilly pushing down HARD, at that moment I new it was time and boy was that my breaking point. I remember thinking that she could just stay in me forever because I really didnt think I could push her out, lol. So it was time! When it came time for them to call Dr. W she came in and I dont remember much AT ALL... everything happened so fast and this team of nurses all came in and everyone was moving SO fast. I remember my mom asking what she could do to help and then a few minutes later on my last push there was a nurse on top of me pushing down hard on my stomach! But within a few minutes she was out and what I thought was the worst thing I had ever endured was now just a fadded memory! So altogether I was in labor 15 hours and 3 minutes and had pushed for an hour and a half! The complications were because our little princess had her shoulders not wanting out :) what are the odds... she that is why I had a nurse literlly on top of me! and they worried because her right arm wasn't functioning properly. But minutes later she was perfect and healthy and laying right on mommy! She weighed 8lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 in long, with a head full of hair! So after she was born the Dr. still had a job to do on me, even though she cut me I still tore, so another hour later everything was finished and other than some pain I was back to normal and Chris and I were a happy family!
